Gas Station !!!!!

Did you know a gas station is planning to be built next to Hortons Creek Elementary? There is a group of local citizens and concerned parents from the surrounding community that have organized and are focused on voicing the community’s collective concerns. If you are interested in further information and to connect with this group, we encourage you to reach out to them and learn about their efforts.

Class Size Mandate !!!!

How important is your child’s class size to you???

“Think back to your days in elementary school. Which experiences stand out? Chances are your memories include an art class where you created your first sculpture, a gym class where you played dodgeball with friends or a music class where you learned “Hot Cross Buns” on a recorder. I fear that the impending North Carolina class size mandate for grades K-3 may not allow children to have these same school experiences.”
